Erasmus+ KA2 project with the aim to improve quality assurance in transnational VET mobility.


The European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) is a European umbrella association, whose members are associations, coordinating institutes of education and educational providers at a national, regional and local level.

The objective work done by EVBB is the qualitative improvement of vocational education and training in European countries and an increase in the efforts being carried out in education at a European level. 
Currently, there are 55 educational institutions from 20 European countries and from China, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Tunisia organized in the EVBB. There is a total staff of 35,000 working in the EVBB member associations at more than 1,500 educational centers.EVBB offers VET with a practical orientation. It spreads rewarding practical examples, explicitly enhancing the communication among its members and distributes on political decisions of the EU authorities as regards vocational training.

EVBB promotes youths and adults alike in the following areas: +Promoting the quality of VET+Promoting a work-based approach of VET+Strengthening the competitive position of educational institutions and promoting the qualification of employees+Encouraging and promoting transnational educational efforts along with the exchange of information and experience+Aiming at greater efficiency in vocational training and further education, when structuring the fields of education and training to correspond to the developments of the job market today+Providing a liberal education in terms of social, economic and sociopolitical issues taking particular consideration of European policies and policies towards the developing world based on a socially binding, liberal economic and social order+Promoting technical, vocational or industrial qualification, continuing education and advanced training in addition to retraining+Providing scientific education+Promoting environmental qualification. 

Beyond that EVBB has set the following tasks for itself:+It takes a stand on the fundamental questions of VET and encourages the advancement of European positions+It represents the common interests of its members and the European institutes in public and in front of national and supranational authorities, the European Parliament, the European Commission, European institutes and national institutes and authorities+It promotes cooperation among its members and encourages building networks between them, organizing vocational education in the member states and at a European level+It sets up quality criteria for the work in vocational education to which all members are bound+It organizes national and international specialist conferences at which the future prospects for VET are worked out, positions and points of view and the examples for successful projects in national or European policies are presented as good practice. 

Besides its bilateral and multilateral partnership among the individual members of EVBB, the association is also a partner of EU authorities, other VET networks, NGOs, etc. EVBB has also partners in international and national institutions and EU authorities. For political decision makers of the EU Commission, EVBB and the other networks are bodies for advice to be given about EU publications, statements and recommendations to the persons in charge in the member states.



The Erasmus+ funded STAYMOBIL project sets the overall aim to improve quality assurance in transnational VET mobility through socially responsible behaviour of all VET mobility actors, thus promoting and further developing quality in mobility and sustaining learning outcomes.
